I intended to leave early in the morning, but it took longer for me to pack and I was late leaving. In the past blogs, I have put many words describing my trips – but, this time, I want to not write much and just post pictures of the town where I grew up. To understand the streets – and to get a good view of many town places, it is best to go to the web site maps.google.com and search for Bamberg, SC. I will post a few pictures that I took while there – and will include the main block of downtown and many of the business on Highway 301. Highway 78 travels through town from Charleston, SC to Augusta, SC and there used to be a railroad track parallel to the road. In the last 10 years, the railroad track has been abandoned and the city has created a walking path in its place. If you enjoy this blog, please put your feedback on it as it will let me know whether or not I should continue putting information like this on the web.
