I left Atlanta and had an uneventful drive to Bamberg – the nice thing was that spring had begun to arrive in Atlanta, and the trees were greener and the flowers fuller in Bamberg. It was very pretty on the drive – the light green color of the new tree leaves were all along the interstate. In the town, the blooming azaleas, dogwoods and wisteria was very beautiful and colorful. The local electric company had a shareholders meeting that I attended with Kenny. It was cold, rainy and windy.
My brothers daughter, Kay, also visited for a few days. We went to the Springfield Flea Market on Saturday morning and browsed the many items for sale. Also, we went to Branchville for a family reunion and to Orangeburg for the funeral of my aunt. It was a glorious occasion because of the coming of the warm weather, -but- it was also a sad occasion because of the death of my aunt.

((My Dad has a nickname for me and it is “Puddin”. He started calling me that when I was very young. I named my van, “Vanna White”. When I decided to start a blog, I wanted a unique name for my travels and the names “Puddin” and “Vanna White” came to mind.))

This also sounds like a good trip, with the exception of the funeral; my condolences on losing your aunt. You know how I hate summer in the south, but spring really is glorious! I hope you will keep posting here so I can keep up with what you are doing this summer.

Thanks for the comment and condolences. I have tried to decide whether or not keeping a blog up-to-date is worth the effort. Knowing that someone has read it (and, possibly enjoyed it) helps with the decision to keep the postings current. Thank you.

Yes, I enjoy it! Also, it works as a nice journal-type thing for you (unless you keep a separate journal anyway). I don’t blog all my camping trips and I have come to regret that, since I would have noted stuff that would have been handy to refer to later.
